I have over 7 years experience as a fitness professional and many more years as an athlete. I am a YMCA qualified fitness Instructor, American College of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer and a recognised British Gymnastics Coach.
Growing up in a family orientated towards sport, it is no surprise that my passion is within the fitness industry. My father and brother both played and coached professional football, my mother a former swimming coach, who in retirement still swims regularly, are all testament to how an active life can keep you in excellent health in later years.
I loved gymnastics as a child and I still do now. I have always been fascinated by how the human body can perform such a complex range of acrobatic skills and feats of superhuman strength. The human body is highly adaptable and can excel at a huge range of activities: from running marathons to scaling the most menacing of mountain peaks. Though these are extreme examples of sport performance, resultant from many hours of commitment and training, it is within us all to achieve what we think as the impossible.
I am not saying we should all start training for a marathon or even climb Everest, but say to yourself "I can do that" and with the right training program and encouragement who knows what YOUR potential is, at any age and level of fitness!
Consider exercise as an investment and watch that pay dividends for the rest of your life.
