About Me

I have over 10 years experience as a fitness professional and many more years as an athlete. I am a YMCA qualified fitness Instructor, American College of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer and a recognised British Gymnastics Coach.
Growing up in a family orientated towards sport, it is no surprise that my passion is within the fitness industry. My father and brother both played and coached professional football, my mother a
former swimming coach, who in retirement still swims regularly, are all testament to how an active life can keep you in excellent health in later years.
I loved gymnastics as a child and I still do now. I have always been fascinated by how the human body can perform such a complex range of acrobatic skills and feats of superhuman strength. The human
body is highly adaptable and can excel at a huge range of activities: from running marathons to scaling the most menacing of mountain peaks. Though these are extreme examples of sport performance,
resultant from many hours of commitment and training, it is within us all to achieve what we think as the impossible.
I am not saying we should all start training for a marathon or even climb Everest, but say to yourself "I can do that" and with the right training program and encouragement who knows what YOUR
potential is, at any age and level of fitness!
What do you want to achieve?
"There are many benefits to muscular and cardio fitness, from - improved performance in everyday activities, a more positive self-image and a huge reduction in risk factors that are associated with coronary artery disease; such as obesity and diabetes. We are a fast nation and as the world speeds up, we often neglect the thing that will keep us going and that is our body. Tight schedules or just lack of confidence often preclude us from taking those positive steps towards including a fitness program into our lifestyle.
We are bombarded with this 'quick fix this' and that 'quick fix that' in what we read or watch on TV, but none of these can substitute for an exercise program that is designed for you and for your
level of fitness. There are no quick fixes but a carefully designed fitness program and ongoing training which considers you and your goals is the most efficient way to a healthier you. Personal
Training, by definition, is personal and should be specific to you. Whether you want to lose weight, gain muscle, tone up, improve your stamina or just develop your flexibility, you'll find timely
solutions with Fitness Perks."
